Get Ready to be Wowed!
The TSB Bank Festival of Lights is the place to be this summer, where New Plymouth's gem, Pukekura Park will be transformed into a wonderland of lights! Fluorescent pebble paths sparkle beneath excited feet, majestic trees and plants glow, and waterfalls and lakes shimmer and shine beneath thousands of lights.
For the 2009/2010 festival season, the lights will begin on Saturday 19 December 2009 in conjunction with the first Fleetwood Mac concert at the TSB Bowl of Brooklands, and will run through until Sunday 7 February 2010. NOTE: A special light up will take place for Christmas at the Bowl on Sunday 13 December.
Nightly entertainment will begin on Saturday 26 December 2009 through to Sunday 31 January 2010. There will also be two special performances for Waitangi weekend on Saturday 6 February and Sunday 7 February 2010.
Two stages of entertainment will showcase a huge variety of local, national and international performers.
The Stage Details Are:
Hatchery Lawn - 8.00pm - 9.30pm (every night)
Fred Parker Lawn - 7.30pm - 9.00pm (Friday, Saturday and Sunday only)

Liquor Control
A temporary liquor ban (with excluded areas) will be in place for this year’s TSB Bank Festival of Lights season from 7.00pm each night. Liquor cannot be consumed anywhere in Pukekura Park except the Hatchery Lawn and Fred Parker Lawn.

Win a $100 picnic to enjoy at one of the TSB Bank Festival of Lights’ performances. How to enter:
- Fill in one of the competition forms which will appear in the
Taranaki Daily News on Saturday 12 December and
Saturday 19 December.
- Write down five events you intend to go to this season,
along with your name and contact details.
- Place the form in the entry boxes located at New Plymouth
District Council reception. You’ll go in the draw to win one
of 10 $100 picnics.
- Entries must be received by 5.00pm Tuesday 29
December 2009.
